The Honorable Thosaporn Moonlasartsathorn was appointed Ambassador of Thailand to the The Republic of Mozambique, On this occasion, the association asked the ambassador to coordinate the trade and investment.

Their Charge d'affaires of Embassy of Republic of Mozambique Mrs.Clara Sengo, delegation of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Mozambique, Deputy Executive of CTA Mrs.Teresa Muenda, President TMTA, Members of TMTA, representatives of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other guests attended the reception.

The TMTA was honored to hosted a dinner talk H.E. Mr.Carlos de Rosario, Prime Minister of the Republic of Mozambique as a key speaker, inviting Thai businessmen to invest in Mozambique and giving confidence for Mozambique's economy and politics. There will be a new special economic zone in Niassa province in the north of the country which is rich in natural resources such as gemstones, forests and fisheries that good opportunity for investment.

TMTA hosts a farewell party the H.E. Mrs.Maria Gustava, Ambassador of the Republic of Mozambique to Thailand with Residence in Jakarta, appointed to the position of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Mozambique to the People’s Republic of China. During the annual meeting in July 2016, TMTA members chose Khun Torsak Chotimongkol to be the President of the association. Khun Panpilai Baiyoke and Khun Wicharn Sirichai-Ekawat were also appointed as Honorary Advisors of the association. In its first year, TMTA has 16 members consisting of 10 Ordinary Members and 6 Extraordinary Members. Membership fee is 10,000 Baht per year for Ordinary Member and 2,000 Baht per year for Extraordinary Member.
